Friday Fun Flick: Winter Mowing?

2.11.2011

Snow, snow, and more snow.  That's what it's been like in these parts; although, this week we did have a little reprieve.  We have to get creative when it comes to our outside play, especially since my little guy doesn't like to wear gloves, mittens, or hats.  Ugh!

Here's some fun video clips of my little boy "mowing" the sidewalks...  He found his lawn mower in the garage and insisted on playing with it.  I guess he's kinda ready for the Spring like the rest of us!

As you can see, I recorded this before his nap time, so he kept on getting cranky with me.  I couldn't help but laugh!

Do you have any creative ideas for outside play (especially in this weather)?

  1. Ha! he's got a good imagination. I don't have any ideas because I haven't played in the snow for close to 20 years. I now live in the CA desert so when it's 110 - that's when I'll wish for all your snow.

  5. OH MY GOSH, look at all that snow!!! I can't even imagine, since around here we keep hearing about snow but it hasn't come our way at ALL. We usually get it once every few years and its about 1/2 to 1 inch...pathetic, right??! Enjoy that "mowing"!!! YIKES!!!!

  6. Awwww. Little cranky pants! That was cute. :) I'm sure you're VERY ready for spring. Don't hate me, but it's 70 degrees here today. But you totally have me beat for beautiful fall foliage and lovely springs. Texas isn't very pretty, at least where I live. As for ideas about how to play in the snow...well, if it's good packing snow you could always try building things if he'll put on his gloves. Or, you can make snow cream. It's delicious! We used to guesstimate the amounts of snow, milk, vanilla, and sugar to add, but here's a website that goes into more detail. http://www.cgl.uwaterloo.ca/~smann/IceCream/Snow/sandy.txt

  7. Haha - so cute! I cannot wait to get rid of this snow. Especially since it's all dirty and gray now, yuck. This no hat/mitten thing is so frustrating! At least this week will be more spring like!
