Trains and Easter Bunnies?

4.01.2013

This year we decided to go for a train ride to meet the Easter Bunny.  Since Lewie's fascination with trains and The Polar Express isn't ending anytime soon, it just made sense to combine the holiday festivities with his love of trains...

Lewie on his way to meet the Easter Bunny.

My mom and Little Lewie.
My turn posing w/ Little Lewie too.

Exiting the Easter train to see the Bunny.

An electric train to entertain us while waiting to see the Easter Bunny.

Decorations--Lewie wanted to play with them!

Good friends already!

Sitting on the Easter Bunny's lap.  (Later he wanted to go back to tell the Easter
Bunny what he wanted in his basket...I think we're confusing Easter w/ Christmas.)

Posing in front of his favorite train.

Checking out The Polar Express train.

Lewie and Gramy checking out the firebox.

Another photo opportunity.  (I don't get nearly enough pics w/ my little boy.)

Another model electric train delivering Easter eggs.

The Easter Bunny brought a Thomas the Train basket and hid it in the laundry room.

It's Thomas!

Some goodies inside the basket...

Lewie found his eggs easily this year.  (What a difference between age 3 and age 4!)

Playing with his new Thomas the Train.

Roller skates from Gramy.
Indeed, Lewie enjoyed a train-themed Easter this weekend before celebrating  Easter's true meaning with family.  Hope you had a wonderful Easter celebration too!

  1. Trains are so cool, our family has only been on one train ride but hopefully we will do it again soon. What a perfect outing for your little one, and cute themed basket I am sure he appreciated as well.

I too need to remember to jump into pictures with my kids now and again, it's easy to forget :)
